Yes! The Free plan is completely free forever with unlimited invoices, all 5 templates, unlimited customers and products. No hidden charges, no credit card required. Ever.
How do I create my first invoice?
Sign up → complete business setup in Settings → go to New Bill → select or add a customer → add products → click Create Invoice. Your first invoice takes under 2 minutes.
Do I need to install anything?
No installation required. GeneBill is fully web-based. It works in any modern browser on mobile, tablet, or desktop. Just open genebill.com and start billing.
What is the 7-day free trial?
All new accounts automatically get a 7-day trial of Pro features — including clean invoices without watermark, GST reports, WhatsApp sharing, and more. No credit card needed. After 7 days, your account continues on the Free plan.
GST & Invoicing
Does GeneBill support IGST, CGST, SGST and Cess?
Yes! GeneBill fully supports CGST + SGST for intra-state transactions and IGST for inter-state. Cess is also supported for applicable items like tobacco and luxury goods. All calculations are automatic.
Are GeneBill invoices GST compliant?
Yes. All invoices generated by GeneBill follow the GST invoice format prescribed by the Indian Government. They include all mandatory fields: GSTIN, HSN code, tax breakup, and invoice serial number.
What is GSTIN Auto-fill?
Enter your customer's GST number and GeneBill automatically fetches their business name, address, state, and PAN from the GST portal. No manual typing needed — saves time and eliminates errors.
Can I create invoices for both goods and services?
Yes. GeneBill supports invoices for products (goods) and services. You can add HSN codes for goods and SAC codes for services.
Plans & Pricing
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free gives you unlimited invoices with a GeneBill watermark, all core features. Pro (₹299/month) removes the watermark, adds your logo, enables GST reports, WhatsApp sharing, CSV export, bank & UPI QR on invoice, and stock management.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. You can upgrade to Pro or Business anytime. If you don't renew, your account automatically returns to the Free plan — all your data is retained.
How do I pay for Pro?
We accept UPI payments (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, any UPI app). Simply go to Plans & Pricing in your dashboard, choose a plan, scan the QR code or use UPI ID, and submit your payment reference. Your plan activates within 2-4 hours.
Do you offer yearly discounts?
Yes! Pro Yearly is ₹2,499 (save ₹1,089 vs monthly). Business Yearly is ₹4,999. Quarterly plans are also available at discounted rates.
Data & Security
Is my business data safe?
Absolutely. All data is encrypted with SSL, stored on secure servers with regular backups. We never share or sell your data. You can export all your data anytime.
Can I manage multiple businesses?
Free plan supports 1 business. Pro supports up to 3 businesses. Business plan supports unlimited businesses under one account — each with separate invoices, customers, and settings.
Can I export my data?
Yes! Pro and Business users can export invoices and customer data as CSV files. This makes it easy to import into Tally, Excel, or other accounting software.
